I was like a little kid last week. Finally, after a year and a half of waiting... the segment that was originally set to air on the HGTV network's "I Want That" show... finally aired on the FINE LIVING network's "I Want That" show. An episode or two before it was to air on the HGTV network... they pulled the show.
But... air it did. I am not sure how many people saw it or really even cared, but it was fun for me to realize that after over 20 years of playing around with trying to create the best, most realistic murals of the night sky that I could... I was finally noticed. Sure, I had been featured in other publications like Angies List, Affluent magazine and the Robb Report... but seeing a segment on national TV was pretty fun.
I guess that the saying is true... that after 20 years, I'm an overnight success. Well, success isn't really the right work... but, well, you know what I mean. (Don't you?)
